Part Time School-Age Teacher

This position is working with our school-age children before and after school. We provide a breakfast in the morning and afternoon snack. Must be at least 21 years of age for this position due to vehicle insurance age restrictions. We transport to Norwood Park Elementary, which is about a 5 minute drive from our center. We only accept a maximum of 13 children as that is our van's capacity, so we are always under the state ratio requirement in our school-age room. This would be a great position for a college student able to work their class schedule mid-day. The shifts for this position are 630/7am-9am and 315-6pm. Pay is based on experience, generally ranging from $15.50-$16.75 to start. May be discussed at interview.

 

Part Time Closing Teacher

This position will be working with children in the infant, toddler and/or preschool classrooms. Must be 18 years of age or older for this position, as we are currently at our maximum allowable high school staff at this time. Must have some experience working with children such as babysitting, coaching, teaching dance/sports lessons, nanny, or prior child care center experience. Shift is 230-6pm or 3-6pm. We love working with college students going into fields where they would be working with children, but availability must include at least 4 days/week. Pay is based on experience, generally ranging from $15-$16.50 to start.

Minimum requirement for part-time position is age 16 or older(unless noted otherwise), person of good moral character, and must be willing to undergo the background check process. Minimum requirement for full-time position is age 19 or older, person of good moral character, at least one year of experience working with children, and must be willing to undergo fingerprint background check process as well as clear the central child abuse and neglect registry. All staff, whether full or part time, must have or be willing to obtain within 60 days of hire, CPR/1st Aid certification. Some positions have higher age requirements, such as our staff who drive the van used to transport school-age and preschool children for school and field trips, as the insurance carrier requires a minimum age of 21.
